Christmas in reverse
participatory sculpture. 2017.
various sizes

Materials: gift wrapping paper, buckles, ribbons, wooden pencils on cardboard, cell phones, timer, batteries, adhesive tapes, various candies, internet modem, TV antennas, paint pot, construction paper and electrical wires.
This participatory sculpture invited participants to unwrap these gifts and shift their enthusiasm upon discovering what was inside the boxes. "Christmas in Reverse" opens a dialogue about the realities experienced by children in some countries, in contrast to things that others only see on television. This work incorporates the transformation of objects and their use, constructing a new idea. With this project, falsehood, trompe-l'œil, and deception are brought to the forefront to offer a misleading perspective.
