Concierge service
sculpture, 2017.
35x25cm

Materials: cotton candy, skittles, licorice, metal bucket, wooden stick and tape.
Conciergerie offers a humorous take on the maintenance worker profession my father practiced. Also an artist, he studied visual arts at the Chicoutimi College. Replacing water and foam with cotton candy and other sweets transforms the image of this essential tool. The artwork compels the viewer to focus on an often overlooked, yet crucial, object.
